Delena Memories - Scoop From TV Guide

Now that Elena will transition, how soon before memories she was compelled to forget come back on The Vampire Diaries?

We all love a good flashback and fortunately for Delena fans, in the premiere episode Elena will remember a very important moment from Season 2: when Damon told her he loved her. But unlike past flashbacks we've seen, Elena doesn't realize right away that she's watching a memory from the past rather than experiencing a moment in the present.

4x01 Episode Title - Growing Pains

The Vampire Diaries Elena Gilbert is about to go through some major changes, so it only makes sense that Season 4 premiere will be titled "Growing Pains," TVGuide.com has learned.

When the CW series picks up, Elena (Nina Dobrev) will begin to transition into a vampire, during which she will no doubt endure both physical and emotional changes. And even though she chose Stefan (Paul Wesley) over Damon (Ian Somerhalder), once memories from previous compulsion flood back, she'll have even more to be confused about.

"Growing Pains" may also refer to the fact that our Mystic Falls gang is heading into their senior year. Although they've seen more death, devastation and destruction that most in their 18 years, they're still plenty of "normal" high school struggles to go through as they reach a big milestone in their lives.

Small update on Hayley from Zap2It

Rumours are true! A feisty 19-year-old named Hayley is entering the fold in Episode 3, and she may have some history with Tyler. Like most women who arrive in Mystic Falls, she's "wildly sexy"  but she's definitely got a tough, intimidating side. Don't believe all the rumours, though. There's already been some false info printed about Hayley. She's got some surprises up her sleeve.

New Season Secrets

- Early in the season, newly-turned vampire Elena (Nina Dobrev) will have what Plec calls her "first hot vampire sex" with either Damon, Stefan, Klaus, Matt or Elijah. A possible clue as to who the lucky guy is? "Elena saved Matt's life, so he's going to end up paying it forward in a very peculiar way." Dobrev's reaction to the action: "It's like she's going through puberty and vampire sex is going to feel like her first time."

- Stefan (Paul Wesley) will be driving a new motorcycle to show off his rebellious side. "I ride motorcycles in my daily life, so I'm excited to burn some rubber," says Wesley, who'd been campaigning for these wheels. "I ride a Triumph but I'm hoping Stefan gets something vintage."

- Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will find a new daytime drinking buddy in Tyler (Michael Trevino). "I think Tyler is up to the challenge of picking up at the bar where Alaric left off," says Trevino. Adds Somerhalder: "Enemies will become allies."

- The fourth episode flashes back 900 years to shed further light on Rebekah (Claire Holt), who's looking for a new place to live. "The Salvatore house is huge," suggests Somerhalder. "And so is Damon's bed!"

- Expect a "big, spontaneous, explosion of joy with some kissing" the first time Caroline (Candice Accola) lays eyes on Tyler, who she thought died. "Shirts are flying off in our first episode back," teases Trevino. 

- Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) will possibly find love with new character April (Grace Phipps, who arrives in Episode 2), a pastor's daughter who returns from boarding school under tragic circumstances and reconnects with her childhood friend. "It will be interesting to see where they go with that," says McQueen. "But he and Bonnie still have some unfinished business."

Hayley is a friend of Tyler's and helped him break his sire bond. She didn't know he was still alive or healthy, though, and only found out recently that Klaus hadn't killed Tyler (one of Klaus' hybrids told Hayley he was going to meet up with someone named Tyler) so she shows up at the Lockwood mansion.

New Character To Be Cast

A new recurring character is currently being cast. She is called Hayley and is Described as Gorgeous and wildly sexy but tough as nails. She will appear from episode 4x03.


Who would you like to see taking on this role? Maybe Phoebe Tonkin from 'The Secret Circle'. She is said to be a very popular choice as a new cast member for TVD. Leave your suggestions below.

Grace Phipps Cast As April

Grace Phipps has been cast as April Young.
She will first make an appearance in 4x02, returning to Mystic Falls upon the death of her Father, Pastor Young. April is described as "natural beauty with a bit of an edge". She knew Elena and Jeremy from childhood.

Matt Donovan fans, you may want to avert your eyes: "Matt's going to have a tough year. I'm not kidding you, Matt's going to have a really tough year. I feel bad for Matt," Ian Somerhalder warns of Damon's feelings toward Mystic Falls' No. 1 quarterback/busboy after learning that Stefan chose to save him over Elena.

Even though Elena chose Stefan in The Vampire Diaries finale, does Damon stand a chance next season?

Lest we forget, Damon compelled Elena to forget key moments, including the fact that he was the first Salvatore brother she met. Unfortunately, this revelation won't suddenly make her change her mind, executive producer Julie Plec says, noting that Damon will be on the outs with both Elena and Stefan in the premiere. "He's actually feeling alone and how he starts to fill that void will be part of his journey as we go forward this season," Plec says. "He needs a new drinking buddy."

This season, the Mystic Falls gang will graduate from high school. In order to smooth the transition, viewers are going to start spending some time at the local university early in the season -- remember, the unnamed school that Jenna attended while writing her thesis? Expect to meet a new recurring character, Professor Shane, who knows a thing or two about the paranormal. We're hearing that initially, he'll work quite closely with Bonnie. The story plays on some threads spun in an early Season 2 episode, "Bad Moon Rising."

Matt Davis Set To Return To Vampire Diaries

Even though Matt Davis is starring in the new CW midseason thriller "Cult," all signs point to yes for his return next season to "The Vampire Diaries." 

The actor, who played staked vampire Alaric on the fangbanger hit, confirmed today (July 13) at Comic-Con that he has talked to "The Vampire Diaries" producers about his coming back. 

"I think there are plans to come back, the capacity of which I'm not sure," he said. 

"It will definitely be weird going back," he added. "It's weird being here [at Comic-Con] too, at the same time as 'The Vampire Diaries' cast. Ian Somerhalder keeps asking me, 'Are you here for "The Vampire Diaries" or "Cult"? And I'm here for 'Cult,' which is odd." 

"It's interesting to sort of parallel the two shows and odd...to cross over and cross back will be an experience."

Davis told us he doesn't know "exactly how it plays out creatively," but he is definitely looking forward to returning to the Atlanta-based set of "The Vampire Diaries."

"It's great -- I'm thrilled by it!"

Spoiler From EOnline - Bonnie's Storyline

I know Vampire Diaries began production on season four this week—what can you tell us about Bonnie's storyline?!

Mo' vampires, mo' problems is Bonnie's season-four motto, naturally. At least that's what we took away from our chat with Kat Graham before her performance at Bing and dosomething.org's Summer of Doing event. "Bonnie's going to be put in a position where she's going to try and do everything she can to help Elena through the transition," Kat teases of Mystic Falls' resident witch storyline. "Bonnie is going to be delving into a couple of things that she's never had. She's going to be meeting a new someone." A new someone?! Color us intrigued!

Todd Williams Cast As Connor

Todd Williams has been cast for the role of Connor Owens. 

He will first appear in Episode 2 of Season 4.

Connor is described by Julie Plec as “a mysterious and powerful new vampire hunter who comes to Mystic Falls.”

I am desperate for some new Vampire Diaries scoop! Please help!

Whoa, take a deep breath. Pretty soon you'll be lousy with TVD scoop, because the show and its stars are headed to Comic-Con next week! But because we love you so much, we'll tell you something now: there's a new vampire hunter in town next season! His name is Connor, and word on the street is that he'll be sticking around for awhile after he pops up in episode two.


So nothing really new here folks BUT it does confirm that Connor is a Vampire Hunter!

Info On New Characters - April & Connor

For episode 4.01, the character Pastor Young is being cast. His daughter April Young is also being cast in a recurring role beginning in episode 4.02. Pastor Young hates vampires, and he threatens Meredith that he will expose her use of vampire blood on her patients and he captures Damon and wants to use him as bait in order to try to capture Stefan, too. 

April Young returns to town after her father dies, to attend his funeral.

Connor Owens is also being cast for episode 4.02. He shows Damon a folder of notes he's been keeping and threatens Damon. Connor and Tyler argue over each of them having something that the other wants (knowledge of how a curse is triggered and the location of a particular stone).

Who's coming to Mystic Falls?

Our merry gang of monsters and friends is about to grow a bit when a 16-year-old girl named April comes back to town. She's from Mystic Falls, so she remembers Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) from their childhood, but she's been away at private school for the last few years. She decides to move back to town after a death in the family, so when we first meet her, she's grieving. Perhaps some of our favorite characters can relate. While we're not sure yet whether she's got a hidden agenda, we can tell you that she's smarter than first impressions may convey. 

Producers are also looking for someone slightly more threatening. (By slightly, we mean a whole freaking lot.) They're seeking a "scary hot" -- emphasis on scary -- actor to play the imposing Connor. He's described as a "highly trained killing machine," so, you know... nothing too out-of-the-ordinary for a Mystic Falls newcomer.

Both roles are recurring, and we can expect them to be pretty significant in the first part of the season.
