The Vampire Diaries - 11 More Teases From 5x01 "I Know What You Did Last Summer"

The episode is called “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” and we’ll find out what everyone’s been up during the period thanks to some back-and-forth emails between Bonnie (via Jeremy’s help) and Elena, who’s spent the three months getting hot-n-heavy with Damon every chance she got, it seems.
Matt lost two important things during his very steamy summer abroad, one of which will cause trouble for him. Let’s just say executive producer Caroline Dries is making good on her promise that the busboy is not a peripheral character this season.
Silas, who has his sights set one specific goal, doesn’t waste too much time pretending to be Stefan.
Like Felicity and every college show ever, Elena and Caroline’s three-person dorm room is ridiculously large… and has its own bathroom!
Yes, we said three-person room. Since unbeknownst to them Bonnie is dead, Elena and Caroline get a mysterious new roommate, and the blonde immediately doesn’t take a liking to her.
Katherine is human now, but rest assured she hasn’t lost any of her spark. Case in point: “I’m weak, and I’m slow. Do you have any idea what it’s like to run in heels? I have blisters.”
Damon and Jeremy share a scene that may just make you forget about the time the vamp tried to kill Elena’s little bro and instead go, “Awww.”
Tyler is MIA because, apparently, a wolf pack in Tennessee really needs his help.
Although Elena is definitely with Damon, Stelena ‘shippers will still get a little something to tide them over.
Bonnie’s scream during that scene from the Comic-Con sizzle reel is for a very horrifying reason.
You know what puts a major damper on your first college rager? Not being able to enter the party because you need to be invited in. On the other hand, maybe that’s for the best….

The Vampire Diaries - 5x02 "True Lies" Official Synopsis

MISSING PERSONS --- Without telling Elena (Nina Dobrev) that Stefan (Paul Wesley) is missing, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) turns to Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) for help finding his brother.   Elena and Caroline (Candice Accola) try to find out who is covering up a campus murder, and a fellow Whitmore student named Jesse (guest star Kendrick Sampson) gives Elena some intriguing information about Professor Wes Maxfield (guest star Rick Cosnett).  While Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) struggles to return to his old life, he continues to be the only person who can see and talk to Bonnie (Kat Graham), but he can't convince her that it's time to let the others know that she sacrificed her own life for his.  After learning that Silas is searching for Katherine, Damon asks Matt (Zach Roerig) and Jeremy to keep her out of sight, but the situation quickly spirals out of control.  Finally, Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) uses violence to make a point about her own agenda.  Joshua Butler directed the episode written by Brian Young (#502).

The Originals - 1x02 "House Of The Rising Son" Official Synopsis

A FLASHBACK TO THE 1800s --- When Rebekah (Claire Holt) arrives in New Orleans at her brother Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) insistence, she meets Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), who gives her some unexpected news.  Concerned that her brother Klaus is up to no good, Rebekah seeks help from a reluctant Sophie (Daniella Pineda.)  At her wits' end, Hayley takes matters into her own hands, but things quickly take a dangerous turn.  Determined to uncover Marcel's (Charles Michael Davis) secret weapon, Klaus stays one step ahead and executes his plan.  Meanwhile, after a run-in with Marcel, Rebekah is reminded of all the anger and disappointment Klaus has caused her throughout the years.  Finally, Marcel enlists Davina's (Danielle Campbell) help in his own dangerous plan.  Leah Pipes also stars.  Brad Turner directed the episode written by Diane Ademu-John and Declan de Barra (#101).

The Vampire Diaries - 5 Teases From 5x01 "I Know What You Did Last Summer"

1. First things first, the elephant in the room. Those of you worried Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's real life breakup would negatively impact Damon and Elena's relationship have nothing to worry about. Not only are both actors complete professionals, but their chemistry is more fiery than ever ... and put to a lot of good use in the first six minutes. A time that includes two separate shirtless scenes for Damon.
2. Delena's not the only ones with sex on the mind. Matt is a pimp. A PIMP. His European adventure with Rebekah unquestionably give Mabekah fans exactly the closure they want as she heads to New Orleans (a.k.a. The Originals spin-off). Sadly Matt brings something back from Europe worse than an STD: a shady stage-five clinger with sticky fingers and a dubious drive.
3. Questionable motives run rampant in the season premiere as we're introduced to a couple of new characters with curious backgrounds. Most notably Megan, Elena and Caroline's unexpected -- and unwanted -- new roommate. She's one to keep an eye on because Julie Plec & co. never introduce a character without reason. Even April. She served a purpose, right?
4. Katherine's purpose this season is slowly revealed to be much, much more significant than to simply reveal the side-effects of taking The Cure. Although by episode's end we're left wondering exactly why [SPOILER] holds our former vamp in such high regard. And her doppelganger isn't faring much better as Elena's past continues to present a problem for her future.
5. TVD's other dynamic doubles, Stefan and Silas, are both given moments to shine (quite literally in Stefan's case since his entombed hallucinations are stunning works of lens flare beauty). Meanwhile, the epic Silas moment showcased in the Comic Con preview (below) plays out with even more power during the episode. And a specific moment was intentionally omitted from that scene, ensuring you'll be screaming "OMG!" as the episode fades to black.

The Vampire Diaries - Six Fresh Faces Of Mystic Falls Recap

Silas (Paul Wesley)

The face is familiar, but it's a totally new role for Wesley, who's now also playing the 2,000 year old immortal who quickly returns to Mystic Falls. ''The fun of Silas is much like season 1 Damon [Ian Somerhalder] in that he's up to something and no one can quite figure out what it is,'' exec producer Julie Plec says. ''Specifically for Damon, it's driving him crazy because it's like the tables have turned: If you remember in season 1, Stefan was always saying to Damon, 'What are you up to?' and Damon's like, 'That's for me to know and you to....' Silas plays the same little tricks on Damon, so it's up to Damon to get to the bottom of what Silas wants, what he's doing to get it, how it's gonna impact all of them, and ultimately how they can put a stop to it.'' Wesley agrees that Silas is fun: ''Silas definitely sees Damon as being beneath him, on every level — experience, knowledge. Damon has always been the one to be the smartass who outclasses everyone else. So it's nice,'' Wesley says. ''I'm getting my revenge for playing droopy, sad Stefan for five years.''

Nadia (Olga Fonda)

The mysterious badass Czech beauty follows Matt (Zach Roerig) home from his steamy summer romance abroad with Rebekah (Claire Holt) in the season premiere. ''What she is, is the big mystery. She seems like some single moment that they left behind in their European whirlwind, and when she appears, she indicates that there's more to her than meets the eye,'' Plec says. ''Between her and Silas, we definitely have our hands full in Mystic Falls of people causing trouble.'' Bonus tease: ''People should be looking forward to everything with Matt [this season], we just can't say anything about it,'' Plec says. ''Matt's got a good story line this year. It begins with a steamy, sexy tryst in Prague, and just goes from there. Our little Matty boy had a good summer.''

Jesse (Kendrick Sampson)

As exec producer Caroline Dries says, ''The girls go to college, and they don't just go to college to study and learn. They go for the boys.'' They meet human student Jesse in the premiere. ''He begins as just someone who finds our darling Caroline Forbes [Candice Accola] very interesting and attractive. And she, of course, is remaining true-blue to Tyler [Michael Trevino] who hasn't quite managed to show up to college yet,'' Plec says. ''She's trying to hold him off without hurting his feelings, but he's very sweet and very smart and very tempting.'' He's also something else: ''As we get to know him, he opens the door to a bigger mystery that's happening at the college,'' Dries says. ''He becomes engrained in the supernatural mythology there.''

Dr. Wes Maxfield (Rick Cosnett)

You'll recall that Whitmore College is where Bonnie's Grams (Jasmine Guy) taught, as well as Professor Shane (David Alpay). So you can understand why Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline might think this brilliant, young, hot microbiology professor has something to hide when they work their way into his advanced class trying to solve a mystery in episode 2, and he, in Plec's words, ''calls them out instantly as not belonging, embarrasses them, and sends them slinking away.''

Tessa (Janina Gavankar)

''Similarly to Nadia, she comes in to our world very clearly not who she seems,'' Plec says of the exotic beauty who makes her first appearance in episode 3. She comes to Mystic Falls looking to rekindle an old flame. ''Part of the mystery is trying to get to the bottom of who she is, what she wants, and why she wants it,'' Plec says.

Aaron (Shaun Sipos)

Introduced in episode 5, the human student with a tragic backstory that rivals Elena's will become a genuine friend to her. ''Internally, we like to call him the Jordan Catalano of Whitmore,'' jokes Plec. ''Though it is just a friendship, it's one of those deep friendships that could be seen as threatening to boyfriends. But we thought it would be a really great opportunity to bring a new person in to Elena's life who would legitimately be somebody who could fill a void of a lot of the friends and relatives she's lost over the years, somebody that really gets her in addition to her Salvatore boyfriend.''

The Originals - Spoiler From TV Guide - 17th September 2013

Do you have any scoop on The Originals?

Klaus' daddy issues will resurface when Sebastian Roche returns in a flashback as Original father Mikael Mikaelson. "We'll certainly get a better idea of why Klaus has turned out the way he has," Joseph Morgan tells us. "One scene in particular, filmed in the woods in the dead of night, will hopefully help people to empathize a little more with this bloodthirsty, murdering sociopath I play."

Any scoop on Janina Gavankar’s Vampire Diaries character?

The Originals - Spoiler From EW - 13th September 2013

Your Originals photo made me scream. Were you on set? PLEASE give me scoop!

When we go back to New Orleans, Joseph Morgan reveals that Klaus is still experiencing “mixed feelings about the fatherhood thing.” “It’s a difficult one because as we know, he values family very highly … he has a weird way of being protective over them. And I think he’s [also] still coming to terms that it’s all happening and all still sinking in for him.” But ready or not, here it comes. And on the day I visited the HOTlanta set, they were filming one particular scene that had to do with the baby’s impending arrival. But I can’t say much more than that at the moment.

The Vampire Diaries - Spoiler From EW - 13th September 2013

Can you tell me whether or not I can still expect scenes between Vampire BFFs Caroline and Stefan?

I’m sure you can bet on it! But I wouldn’t expect it immediately, since Candice Accola reports that Caroline is quite focused on her new college life as the season begins. “She’s very hung up on her mini-fridge and small appliances she needs for her dorm room that she needs to, like, cook up quesadillas or something,” Accola says with a laugh. “That’s really what’s on her mind, in the forefront. She’s not thinking of anything else. She just wants to go to college with Elena and Bonnie and have Tyler come meet her and that’s it.” Of course, this being TVD, we’re sure other things interrupt the fun…
