The first season of THE ORIGINALS brought the formidable Original vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson and his siblings back to their home in New Orleans. Helping to unify his fractured family was werewolf Hayley Marshall, pregnant with his child. But a bloody war ignites between vampires and witches, and Klaus is betrayed by his vampire protégé Marcel. As season one ended, werewolves decimated the vampire community and witches tortured Klaus and Hayley's newborn daughter. Season two finds the city controlled by newly empowered werewolves. Klaus struggling to adjust to new weakness , and Elijah desperate to save Hayley, now a hybrid, on a spiral from self destruction.
