The Originals - 2x01 "Rebirth" - Stills

The Originals - Spoiler From ET Online - 3rd September 2014

We can't get enough of the Original Family so you can imagine our delight when ET learned that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be discovering a secret about his mother that could change everything. Our original hybrid has always kept the horror of his painful childhood close to his chest, but this new revelation could change his entire perspective on his past.

And if there's one thing we love about this Big Easy-set drama, it's all of the enlightening flashbacks and epiphany-inducing reveals. For example, did you know that Elijah (Daniel Gilles) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) were once extremely close?! Not as tight as Klaus and Marcel, of course, but their friendship will definitely be a delightful surprise for fans to explore in this sophomore season. So what caused their centuries of estrangement? We can't tell you! But we can tease that your jaws will definitely hit the floor…

The Vampire Diaries - Spoiler From ET Online - 3rd September 2014

Who's ready for some time-jumps?! When we are first reunited with our sexy supernaturals, roughly four months will have passed since Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie's (Kat Graham) heartbreaking "death." But the flashback we're most looking forward to? Grab your jelly sandals and your acid washed jeans because ET has learned that we've got an amazing blast from the past coming our way: We're going to see what life was like for the Salvatore brothers in the '90s! (Ahem, and yes we're talking about the 1990's.)

Aaaaand, say goodbye Mystic Falls! Our favorite vamps are leaving their hometown behind when we see them again in the season six premiere. Star, and all-around kickass chick, Nina Dobrev, explained to ET that due to the jaw-dropping events in the season five finale, it feels like The Vampire Diaries has hit the reset button and become a whole new show.

"We're banned from Mystic Falls, two of our main character are dead, and we're all mourning them," she said. "It's like a new shift and a whole new show--The same, but better." In addition, the brunette beauty spilled that Elena and Co. will also be "meeting a lot of new people," which could prove to fill the void that last season's deaths have left behind.

The Originals - 2x01 Photo + Season 2 Spoilers - 2nd September 2014

When Season 2 picks up – on a full moon – the Guerrera werewolves “have taken control of the French Quarter,” executive producer Michael Narducci reveals. A grieving Klaus will put all his focus into destroying the threat “to quite catastrophic effect.” Meanwhile, Cami won't be keeping her distance from the self-destructive Original despite his orders. “They certainly start off in a place where Cami is seeing someone else. Yet, she feels a responsibility [to help Klaus] because she knows she has a connection to this guy – when she speaks, he listens.” As for baby Hope's mama, newbie hybrid Hayley will get “defensive” and “angry” as she wonders “if Elijah's ability to look down on vampires translates to her,” Narducci previews. “Hayley's new status will force them to have some interesting conversations about what this means for their future.” And as Hayley adapts to her new life, Elijah's “decision on what to do to help her is going to be a bit surprising.”
BONUS SPOILER | The Originals could be headed back to Mystic Falls. “There's an interesting possibility for some flashback stuff,” Narducci teases. “Remember, that's where the Original family was – in ancient Mystic Falls.”

The Vampire Diaries - 6x01 Photo + Season 6 Spoilers - 2nd September 2014

Four months after the Season 5 finale, Elena is still "grieving" Damon, but also "excelling in her pre-med program," executive producer Caroline Dries tells TVLine. Elena's new endeavor will also prove fruitful for Alaric, who will shack up with her mentor Jo. ("Love is in the air!") Sadly, romance won't be in the air for Stefan, who "doesn't have the emotional energy for a relationship." And even when he is ready, he's still "a typical guy who just sees Caroline as a friend." Bonnie and Damon's whereabouts will unfold "slowly" as they continue to "get on each other's nerves like an old married couple." Meanwhile, Tyler will embrace his "second chance" at humanity, but will discover "the rage is still inside him" and he can't run from it. As for Matt, he'll finally get to live in Mystic Falls without having to constantly watch his back. We'll also learn more about Liv and Luke's "dark past" and "destiny," which will reveal why they came to Whitmore College.
BONUS SPOILER | Elena will try to set up Caroline with her new pre-med buddy Liam (Maro James), as she thinks they're "the perfect match."

The Vampire Diaries - Spoiler From TV Guide - 2nd September 2014

Any Damon-Elena scoop on The Vampire Diaries?

Until the duo is reunited  — which doesn't seem likely to happen for a while — there isn't much to tease on that front. On the other hand, the tension between Caroline and Stefan will come to a head early on when our favorite blonde finally confronts him about her feelings  — and Elena overhears the whole thing! Even though Nina Dobrev told us Elena would be all "awko-taco" about a Stefan-Caroline pairing, you'll still be surprised by her reaction.

The Vampire Diaries - Spoiler From TV Line - 2nd September 2014

Any Vampire Diaries scoop? Especially something about our favorite vampire, Caroline Forbes?

Oh, I’ve got Caroline scoop, and it’s juicy. Her romance with Stefan will become a major part of her Season 6 storyline, even if that romance isn’t exactly a two-way street. “She’s going to realize it’s a little more one-sided than she was hoping, and there’s going to be some fallout from that,” executive producer Caroline Dries says. “But just because one character doesn’t like another character, that doesn’t mean it’s not a fascinating love story.”

The Originals - Season 2 Synopsis

The first season of THE ORIGINALS brought the most formidable creature on earth, the Original vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), back to his former home – the vibrant and supernaturally charged city of New Orleans. When he arrived, his siblings Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) not far behind, he was stunned to learn that werewolf Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) was pregnant with his child. Though Elijah hoped that the news of a baby might help rebuild their fractured family, other forces threatened to destroy it further: namely, Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis), Klaus’ beloved vampire protégé, whom the Originals thought to be long dead, and a dark secret that Marcel and Rebekah held for a century. The Originals and Hayley soon found themselves caught in a bloody war between vampires and witches, the stakes raised by a vengeful young witch, Davina (Danielle Campbell), and by Klaus’ surprising connection to Cami (Leah Pipes), a student with a painful past. Meanwhile, Hayley helped her exiled werewolf family return to the French Quarter, unaware that a ruthless pack of wolves was already lurking in the city, waiting to stage a violent coup on the vampires. As the first season came to a close, the werewolves decimated the vampire community, while the witches made a horrific assassination attempt against Klaus and Hayley’s newborn daughter.

Season two finds our heroes adjusting to a new status quo, with the newly empowered werewolves controlling the city and a myriad of unknown threats lurking. Though Klaus and Hayley have vowed to scorch the earth in order to make New Orleans a safe home for their daughter, Hope, they also have inner demons to battle. As she adjusts to life as a hybrid, Hayley experiences crippling rage and depression after saying goodbye to her daughter, and Klaus – who needs his strength now more than ever – finds himself regularly weakened as the werewolves use the moonlight rings forged in his blood. Elijah, finding himself isolated from his troubled family, sets out to destroy Francesca (guest star Peta Sergeant) and her traitorous werewolves, connecting with Marcel and his renewed vampire community in the process. Despite the dangerous climate of the city, Cami recommits to her studies and to pursuing the life she wanted before she met Klaus – but the werewolves in the Quarter aren’t the only enemies preventing New Orleans from any semblance of peace.

Unbeknownst to Klaus and Elijah, their ruthlessly devious parents have returned from the dead. Though their father, Mikael (guest star Sebastian Roché), is controlled by Davina’s magic, he remains ever-intent on killing Klaus – even if he has to go through Davina to do it. Elsewhere, their mother, Esther (guest star Alice Evans), inhabiting the body of a teenage witch, is fueled by a consuming and twisted love for her children as she devises a disturbing plan to reunite her fractured family – a plan that involves untold torment not only for the Original siblings, but for any and all of their loved ones.

The Vampire Diaries - Season 6 Synopsis

Season five of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES began with a sense of hope for Elena (Nina Dobrev). After a passionate summer with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena headed to Whitmore College with Caroline (Candice Accola), not knowing that Bonnie (Kat Graham) sacrificed her life to save Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). As Bonnie’s friends fought to bring her back to life as the Anchor to the Other Side, Stefan (Paul Wesley) had to face-off with his doppelganger Silas, and a newly human Katherine (Nina Dobrev) struggled with mortality and motherhood. Damon’s relationship with Elena was put to the test when Enzo (guest star Michael Malarkey), an old vampire friend from Damon’s past, revealed he was still alive and looking for revenge. Stefan and Caroline’s friendship deepened as they stood up to the Travelers, a nomadic witch tribe driven to strip Mystic Falls of magic and cast out its supernatural residents. Finally, with time running low until the inevitable collapse of The Other Side, Damon and Bonnie made the ultimate sacrifice in order to bring back their friends.

Now, months after this devastating tragedy, everyone is dealing with the loss of their loved ones in different ways, some more destructively than others. What happened to Bonnie and Damon, and if they can even be saved, remains a mystery. Meanwhile, their beloved hometown of Mystic Falls continues to be a magic-free zone, protected by a mysterious new community watch program. If there’s any hope of salvaging their former lives, our heroes must find a way to push through their grief and band together. This season will explore themes of loss, denial and what it means to move on in the face of immortality, ultimately begging the age-old question – can you ever really go home again?
