MEMORIES FROM ANOTHER TIME — When the past comes back to haunt her, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is forced to face her problems head on. After a night out at the annual Whitmore Medical Center Fundraiser, Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) opens up to Alaric (Matt Davis) about her own tragic past. Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) resort to extreme measures when Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson) withholds information about his vampire-killing operation, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is in a race against the clock when Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) gets caught in the middle of a dangerous plan. Elsewhere, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) grow closer, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) stumbles upon a startling clue that renews his hope. Kat Graham also stars. A FAMILY BUILT ON SECRETS AND LIES — Fed up with her antics, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) becomes agitated and demands that Esther (guest star Sonja Sohn) release Elijah (Daniel Gillies), whom she has captured. However, Esther reveals a few dark secrets from Klaus’ past in an attempt to make him an offer he can’t refuse. Meanwhile, Oliver (guest star Chase Coleman) ends up in a dangerous situation, prompting Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) to reconnect with Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons), who has been living a new life out in the bayou. Elsewhere, Cami (Leah Pipes), who still believes baby Hope’s death was her fault, teams up with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Gia (guest star Nishi Munshi) after she becomes suspicious of her faculty advisor Vincent (guest star Yusuf Gatewood). I'm loving the family reunion on The Originals, but will we ever see Cami or Davina again?

We, too, miss some of the (pun alert!) original cast. Fortunately, Charles Michael Davis tells us that as Marcel becomes more present in episodes to come, so will those ladies. "Davina and Cami are growing a lot stronger," he says. "But the relationship has changed because Marcel isn't necessarily there to protect or control them." Bonus scoop: Davis adds that Marcel and Hayley will finally begin working together. "Klaus calls Hayley the wolves' queen and Marcel is declaring that he's the king, so there's a mutual respect there for the royalty," he says.

Lucky for you, Charles Michael Davis told us that Marcel's goal to build a vampire community is going to be a huge part of season two. "Part of Marcel's journey is his struggle to get back to where he was in the pilot," he said. "That's who he is as a character, he's resourceful and it's actually a bigger build up to an arc that we're going to be reaching in later episodes. It's just part of Marcel's bigger story."
